The studio features Pro Tools HD v8 software and a good selection of AKG and Rode tube and condenser microphones as well as mic pre’s from Avalon, Universal Audio and Neve as well as an Akai M-8/Roberts 770 tube pre amp.
The Control 24 also adds its own compliment of focusrite pre amps.
The Tannoy Precision 8D “Dual-Concentric™” monitors sit isolated on concrete pedestals poured into the foundation of the building. This helps to ensure that there is minimal sound transmission to the listener except through the air. Conduits in the concrete floor, speaker pedestals and in the wall panels now allow interconnection of equipment without being seen.
All of the studio’s four rooms are built on a concrete foundation.
The control room is very “real” sounding, neither too dead or bright. The room has only one corner.
